Final Exam Information
Exam/Experience Expectations and Procedures:
View the exam schedule. Notice the tabs on the bottom that indicate what happens if there is a school delay during exam week. If there is no school on one of the days the exams scheduled for that day will be held on the next school day. All exams will be rolled forward.
- The schedule is designed so students will not have more than two exams on one day.
- Attendance—it is essential to be on time for exams. Faculty has the option of not allowing late students into the classroom and therefore rescheduling the test to the make-up day, or giving the tardy student only the time remaining in the exam period to complete the assessment. Unexcused absences will result in a zero for the exam.
- Buses will run on the regular schedule.
- Teachers will be available in their rooms for student support assistance each day before the first exam and after the last.
- Students must remain in the exam room until the exam period ends. Exams are scheduled for a full ninety minutes; bring something to work on quietly if you finish the exam early.
During the morning and afternoon support blocks you can go to one of the following locations:
A. In a classroom with a teacher for subject-specific assistance
B. In the library for individual quiet study.
C. In the upstairs commons or downstairs commons for small group quiet studying.
D. Cafe for a brain break - this will be a noisier area for students looking to take a break
It is important that we know who is in the building so please make sure that you use the electronic sign in/out when you enter/leave a space. You only need to sign out if you leave a space before the end of the block.
- For example: if you have signed into the downstairs common during the morning support block and you stay there until 9 you do not need to sign out. If you were to leave that space at 8:30 to go to the cafe then you will need to sign out of the space and sign in when you get to the cafe. You do not need to sign in and out if you are just leaving for a few minutes to use the restroom (etc), please just let the space supervisor know.
During The Exam Blocks:
If you are here during an exam block and you do not have an exam/experience then you can report to the cafe for social/small group study or to the library for quiet study. You may also see a teacher if they do not have an exam and you have made an appointment with them. You need to sign in upon arrival.
PATHS Students: Falmouth Students are expected to attend PATHS during midterm and finals week at Falmouth HS. Midterm and final exam weeks at Falmouth HS are designed so students attend PATHS in the morning session and attend Falmouth HS exams during Periods 3 and 4 in the afternoon. Transportation to and from PATHS runs at normal times.
